Executive Biographies
The ActiFi team is made up of individuals with deep and diverse expertise, acquired from working in the financial services sector and in large and small businesses. If a financial services firm or institution has an idea they want to implement or an issue they need to solve, it's almost certain that an ActiFi team member has worked on a similar project before.
In addition to the Executive Team, ActiFi has a very experienced Board of Directors and Advisors that provides invaluable counsel on ActiFi's business model, product development initiatives, and value proposition.

Spenser Segal, CEO, has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including Vice President of e-Commerce Strategy and Development for American Express Financial Advisors (AEFA), where he directed the reconstruction of several Web sites into an integrated, customer-oriented financial services offering. He also held management positions at Dain Rauscher, Barrington Capital Management, and BigCharts. Spenser ran a successful financial planning and money management practice as a Certified Financial Planner®, and he has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. |

Bob Nicholson, Chief Financial Officer, has more than 30 years of experience related to almost all major areas of corporate finance. Prior to joining ActiFi as one of its founders, Bob was a self-employed financial consultant. Prior to that, Bob was Executive VP of Finance and CFO of IMI Cornelius, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of beverage equipment. Before joining Cornelius, Bob spent five years at Ernst and Young as an auditor. Bob has significant experience in the acquisition and integration of new companies, and he is a Certified Public Accountant. |

Jeff Haines, SVP/Solutions Development, has more than 22 years of financial services industry experience, including executive management for a national network of branch offices focusing on administrative and risk functions. At the firm, he developed a Business Innovation Team that designed and led company-wide changes towards more client-focused processes, and he co-led the company’s technology group. Jeff’s expertise is in product development and management, with a particular focus on integrating complex financial solutions into easy-to-use online programs. Jeff is a world-class facilitator and a sought-after presenter. |

Tom Rozman, SVP/Business Development, has a 25-year track record for leading strategic business and product development initiatives, commercializing and patenting new products, and taking emerging companies and new ventures from launch to profitability in the financial services and technology arenas. Prior to joining ActiFi, Tom was co-founder, president and chief executive officer for Investigo Corporation, which he sold in 2008. Prior to founding Investigo, Tom was vice president for Merrill Lynch & Company, most recently in the firm's Capital Markets, Strategic Institutions Group. Tom is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Series 7 license. |

Sam Richter, SVP/Chief Marketing Officer, is an award-winning and top selling author, and as creator of the Know More! sales training program, an internationally sought-after speaker. Sam has won numerous marketing awards including Best of Show and Gold awards from various advertising/public relations/and online marketing associations, multiple WEBBY Awards for best Web site development, and a Codie Award—the “Oscars" of the software industry. Sam was formerly president of a national business research firm, is a member of the Business Journal's Forty Under 40, and he was a finalist for Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year. |

Mark Nahlovsky, Director - Application Development, has been deeply involved in product development and application support in the financial services industry for more than 10 years. His focus is on greatly reducing the high cost of technology by developing practical solutions to business problems. Mark has extensive experience working with financial advisory practices, documenting best-practice workflow and integrating complex processes into repeatable, systematized, automated business rules. Mark is an expert on maximizing and leveraging CRM systems to achieve advisory practice business objectives. |

Brian Kostick, Director – Consulting Services, has worked in the financial services industry since 1996, primarily in the areas of marketing and emerging technologies. Brian’s focus is on developing and executing processes with major enterprise firms. Prior to joining ActiFi, Brian worked as a Senior Specialist in the Business Innovation Group at a major Wall Street firm. He has extensive hands-on experience working directly with advisors. Brian has a degree in finance and an MBA from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. |

Jeff Range, Director – Consulting Services has more than 20 years of consulting experience with an emphasis on process redesign and business transformation in both small and enterprise-level clients. Jeff has worked with top companies in the financial services industry managing multiple, often simultaneous projects, and delivering consulting services designed to establish new and/or improve existing business processes and related decision support systems. Jeff graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Behavioral Management and a minor in accounting. |

Bill Houghton, Senior Consultant and Business Analyst, has a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Minnesota. He also holds a CPA license. Bill is responsible for many of ActiFi's products from the concept and development standpoints, and he also works directly with clients on implementing ActiFi's programs. Prior to joining ActiFi, Bill worked for Target Corporation in its corporate finance division. He has also worked in audit and tax consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. |
